The Crown Hill Business Association and its members submitted a letter to the Seattle School Board regarding their upcoming decision on the Crown Hill Park.
We encourage everyone to voice their opinion to the School Board on this issue.
In April 2006, the Crown Hill Business Association, Sharon Giampietro of RE/MAX Northwest Realty, Swanson's Nursery, and Quizno's Subs put together this wonderful opportunity to give back to your community by sprucing up the 15th Ave NW corridor. We had over 40 volunteers, including many teenagers from Earth Corps during our sunny clean-up day.
In total, we picked up over 40 bags of trash totalling nearly a 1/2 ton of garbage, a mattress, a washing machine, and a TV. Also, thanks to Swanson's Nursery, volunteers were able to spread mulch along 15th Ave NW between 80th & 90th. We painted out graffiti, pulled weeds and ivy, and even left little flyers encouraging neighbors and business owners to take part in keeping their area clean.
A huge thanks to all of the many supporters, volunteers and coordinators to make this a success. We plan on doing this on a more frequent basis to maintain the wonderful clean feel of our business district. Please contact us if you are interested in hearing more about our upcoming projects.
